About us

Northeast Lake Community Outreach Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization that was founded in August 2014. Four officers, a group of hard-working and dependable volunteers of all ages and some board members worked together to build this organization. This organization is operated by volunteers. Nobody gets paid. 90% or more of the funds are going for the intended use. Administration costs are 10% or less.

Community Events

Our annual events are handing out over 120 backpacks full of school supplies to kids. For Halloween, we offer a fun and spooky environment where we hand out treats. Prior to Thanksgiving, we give food to some needy families to provide them with a nice holiday. Our Christmas is full of events. We have a float built with the help of teenagers that volunteer. The float is entered in the DeLand parade with the volunteers handing out treats. For one night, the float is pulled around three communities with Santa handing out bags of treats. A retirement home is visited where some officers and volunteers do some caroling and hand out homemade cookies baked by the volunteers. Before the Holiday we have a Christmas party where kids get their picture taken with Santa. Each child gets a gift and there are plenty of treats. Gifts are purchased and wrapped for kids from needy families. All of the gifts come from Santa or the parents. In February, we have a Valentine's Day dance. One early dance for kids and a later dance for teens and adults. In the spring, we have a "Health and Safety" fair. Various departments from the county's health and safety departments set up tables. They offer some products advice and brochures. The bloodmobile is there and if nothing is happening the local sheriff's dept. and firemen are there. There are games and prizes for all ages. For Easter, we have Easter egg hunts. We offer several to separate the ages.

Mission Statement

Northeast Lake Community Outreach Inc. is a regional charity focused on delivering community resources that can help youth and families thrive. Our charity will inspire and instill within people the desire to reach their full potential in life with a sense of dignity and a feeling of belonging in our local communities.

Goals & Future Plans

Our organization's goal is to expand by reaching out to other community organizations and volunteers within Northeast Lake County. If the resources are available, we would provide them with school supplies, help with Thanksgiving and Christmas, and aid during disasters.
